Summary

A potential vulnerability has been identified in Micro Focus Enterprise Server (including the Enterprise Server component of Enterprise Developer). The UNC Path Navigation vulnerability could allow an attacker to transmit hashed credentials for the user account running the Micro Focus Directory Server (MFDS) to an arbitrary site, compromising that account's security.

RESOLUTION

Micro Focus has made the following mitigation information available to resolve the vulnerability for the impacted versions of Enterprise Server and Enterprise Developer:

路         Configure security for the Enterprise Server Administration (MFDS) web interface and require user authentication. For maximum protection, enable TLS (SSL) for MFDS.

路         Alternatively, install the appropriate Patch Update for your version of Enterprise Server or Enterprise Developer:

o   4.0 Patch Update 16

o   5.0 Patch Update 6
