Voltage SecureData Sentry 4.1 includes several improvements and updates, focusing on the introduction of a protection API, a system health status and monitoring dashboard, and enhanced login security controls.

The following new key features are available with this version:

  • Status dashboard: basic system health checks for control, including status monitoring of data sources, application profiles, protection plugins, ICAP clients, xDBC driver interceptors, SMTP listener, and API server ports along with CPU and memory usage.
  • Protect API: a gRPC/REST API to allow client applications to submit data to be protected via a specified protection flow, or to be analyzed and protected based on matching of the data types to available protection flows.

Login security enhancements: improved login security for control through configurable password length controls, password composition, password expiry, password management, linear back-offs, timeouts and logging.
