Integration [104] - Systems and Incident Exchange via SCAuto (SM - OMU)

SCAuto for Operations Manager for UNIX works as a broker between HP Service Manager and HP Operations Manager for UNIX, and consists of four components:

• scevmon
• scfromitoMSI
• scfromitoMEI
• sctoito                                                                                                              

These four components collaborate to ensure the synchronization of the OM message and its corresponding SM incident ticket. Customers can combine some of the components to form a suitable solution to their needs, but the full solution provides bidirectional communication between two end systems.

When a new OM message occurs, it is pushed to the scfromitoMSI component and the scfromitoMSI component then generates an event record from the OM message and puts that record in a local queue file. The scevmon component reads the queue file and sends the record to SM to create an SM incident ticket.

When an existing OM message is altered, it is pushed to the scfromitoMEI component and the scfromitoMEI component then generates an event record from the OM message and puts that record in a local queue file. The scevmon component reads the queue file and sends the record to SM to update the corresponding SM incident ticket.

When an SM incident ticket is updated, it generates an event record and puts it in its event queue. The scevmon component retrieves the event record from the SM event queue and puts it in a local queue file. The sctoito component reads the event record from the queue file and then updates the corresponding OM message.
