An https page  cannot be opened in TruClient protocol in Internet Explorer 11 browser in version VuGen 12.53  due to the following error:

Turn on TLS 1.0, TLS 1.1, and TLS 1.2 in Advanced settings and try connecting again.

Cause

The cause is unknown

Fix

There is a fix available for LoadRunner, PC host and VuGen standalone version 12.53

To apply the fix:

  1. Download the Hotfix.zip and extract the 2 files it contains
  2. Go to  <VuGen installation folder>\bin 
  3. Back up the original TcIEBrowserSettings.dll  
  4. Substitute it with the TcIEBrowserSettings.dll from the fix 
  5. Go to <VuGen installation folder>\dat\WebIE\RRE\content\settings 
  6. Back up the original BrowserConfigurationObjectIE.js in <VuGen installation folder>dat\WebIE\RRE\content\settings
  7. Substitute it with the  BrowserConfigurationObjectIE.js from the fix.
