Summary

Micro Focus is announcing a new version for Service Management Automation Suite (SMA Suite), 2018.02. One of the component products of this SMA Suite 2018.02 is Universal Configuration Management Database (UCMDB) 11.0x. With UCMDB 11.0x we are introducing Unit-based licensing instead of OSI-based licensing in previous versions. As a result, all customers that want to go to SMA 2018.02 will need to have their contracts updated and new license keys need to be retrieved.

Program Overview
Micro Focus is announcing a new version for Service Management Automation Suite (SMA Suite), 2018.02. One of the component products of this SMA Suite 2018.02 is Universal Configuration Management Database (UCMDB) 11.0x. With UCMDB 11.0x we are introducing Unit-based licensing instead of OSI-based licensing in previous versions.
As a result, all customers that want to go to SMA Suite 2018.02 will need to have their contracts updated and new license keys need to be retrieved.
All SMA Suite customers with an active support contract are eligible to update to SMA Suite 2018.02. The End of Committed Support, End of Extended Support and End of Self-Help Support with Rights to New Versions dates are published on Software Support Online.

For later versions of Service Management Automation Suite, a subscription update and retrieval of new license keys may also be required in case you haven't updated to UCMDB 11.0x or higher version yet.

Support Contract Update
There are some licenses impacted due to this license exchange program. For this reason, your subscription need to be updated. Please contact your local Micro Focus contract administration representative or Micro Focus services integrator (SVI) partner to get your support contract updated accordingly.
